Find these two regions first.

Yellow = LV. Pink = contrast in the LA.

The pink contrast cloud is the LA. This is where the MR went.

Same frame + approximate contrast regions
Same unchanged frame beneath separate region guides1 LV2 LA

Exact same source frame in both panels. Colored shapes locate approximate contrast regions; they are not exact chamber borders.

1 · LVThe small contrast-filled pouch at this instant. The curled pigtail catheter is inside it.
2 · LAThe broad contrast cloud toward the spine, to the left of the LV on this display.

RA and RV are not reliably outlined by this LV injection.

This is a projection with overlapping structures. You should not expect four separately visible, contrast-filled chambers in this shot.

The MR connection: contrast was injected into the LV and passed backward into the LA during contraction. Contrast can remain in the LA afterward; watch when it enters or increases.

The systolic loop spans2.53–3.47seconds of the source; phase is identified by visible cavity reduction, with no synchronized ECG. This is a source-based educational example, not recalled examination content or a claim about which image an examination uses.
